As you should know by now our Miss Gem, also known as french_rhubarb is back in the country, this means that we should catch up with her. so...
Operation: Do stuff with Gem - Baaa!
Date: Tuesday 17th of Feburary
Plan A. if it is dry and it has been for a few days we go and have a picnic in the mountains. we meet at the Oak Milk Bar at Freemans Drive, Freemans Waterhole at ~ 8am for brekky. we then choose a spot off the map and drive tehre for a day of fun and stuff. (there might be a fireban so burning stuff is out)
Plan B. if it is sunny but has been wet for the few days before we do something at a park somewhere - still meet at oak at 8 for brekky though
Plan C. if it's raining we crash either my garage or another offered abode for a day of more general fun and games, again meet at oak to decide who's house we kidnap and have brekky
Let me or Gem know about issues/problems/a house to crash if it rains
If transport\distance is an issue, then let us know and head to the uni and we'll work out to get you from there train to fassifern and we'll pick you up from the station
EDIT: Well the Rain today and tonight means that plan A is out, and likely B too. this means 3 things -1. I need to talk to Mel about her house and provide details in a Friends-only post. 2. no need to go all the way out to the OAK. 3 No need for the 8am meeting time. that should make you all suitably more happy
EDIT mk2: We are going to have to crash somone's house, Was out and about today and everything was sodden so the park is out too.
Plan Ca. Meet at Mel's house at ~10am. Details on getting to her house are available in the friends only post that I'm about to make. call me if you have issues, or just reply here. Others are welcome solong as they know Gem and we have an idea about them beforehand.
EDIT mk3: With respect to Food, everyone bring a plate, Daniel, if you can grab some drinks that would be handy...

If you enjoy playing games, or music. I reccommend you spend the $2.50 for Audiosurf. honestly that is the Cheapest you'll pay for a computer game, ever. Honestly I spent $8 buying it, I play it more than some of the $20+ games, this really is Insanely good value, the limit to game play is litterally the size of your music collection, and even then more 'free ride' songs come out weekly.
I know I sound like a Valve add, but come on people $2.50 is a pittance, it goes back up to $10 soon. (and even then it's Really good value)
I'll be quiet now.

It's been awhile since my last post, especially as I made a decision to update more often. And, like my previous posts this will probably be just a wrap up of recent history.
So Last night was my first shift at work in Ages, around 2.5 months infact. I quickly came to the realisation that I know why I never missed it, the entire evening was an excersise in calamity. They have finished the refit at work, which is great, it means things won't be moving again, however it also means that I'm completely lost. Add to this the fact that the load was 3 hrs late, that there were not enough cages to run the load, and you have the perfect mix for a calamity of some reputation.
Afterwork, on the way home I started bleeding from the face, well my nose. by the time I got home my face and hands were covered with blood, it is not the easiest thing driving with your wrists. Now this isn't an unusual thing, though it hasn't happened in a while, painless nose bleeds are somewhat of a hereditry trait in the males of my family (it might not be limited to the males, but with only my aunt to go by I can't be certain).
I didn't go to my lab this week, I thought that handling highly dangerous chemicals whilst ill would be a bad idea, so I went to the doctors and apparently I am ill, moreso than I thought. Mind you it cost me $70 to find this out, money which, frankly, I don't really have to spend at the minute (there is a good reason why I don't go to the do doctors often).
Possibly of more concern is the fact that in the last week or so I've started seeing things, some of which could be passed off as being legitimate things, others are rather more worrying. The car that I saw that dissapeared, it might have turned off, but in my opinion it was travelling too fast for that. the lights that I saw flickering, but weren't are rather more worrisome. what this is I don't know, biut I can't afford to go back to the doctors again.
This mix of not going to class, huge piles of work and the other fiascos means that I'm rather behind on where I should be at Uni and a little swamped. Though this I know I would have fallen over a number of times, without Mel, who keeps me focused and supports me, even if she doesn't realise how much.

Such a large ammount of things to talk about that I'll probably miss some.
Well Thursday was a disaster - it's very hard to write a lab report when you don't have any data with which you can report. I'm sure I picked the sheets of data up from the lab. I have all the spare sheets we had, just none with data on them. As I managed less and less to find them the more and more the house got trashed, and the closer I got to panicing. Currently the house is absoloutely trashed in almost every room, but I'm not panicing.
Yesterday I spent something close to 4 hrs at Centrelink, if we could fuel cars on beaurocracy then with centrelink alone we could run the entire country. However I managed, eventually, to wade through the red tape and should be getting youth allowance from the government in the near future.
Last night I went over to Ralph street and cooked dinner for Mel, Hayles and Ali. I cooked braised steak with onions, and none of us seem to be dead as yet so I'd call it a success. We spent most of the evening doing study, which might suprise some of you. On occasion I still have to convince myself that it's actually still real, but there she is and reassures me.
This morning I finally went riding again, and honestly I have no idea why I stopped in the first place, well I do but 'not enough hours in the day' seems to rather lame at the moment. There is nothing I know like being on a bike, with music, or occasionally Greg's W/con talks, in your ears.

The last few days have been a hectic Rollercoaster encompassing almost all emotional extremes.
Wednesday wasa pretty decent day, unitl I realised that I did the wrong Lab prep for the next day. at which time I went into Panic mode, not just the propper panic about the prep. Everything else that may, however unlikely, have the possibility to go wrong also got a healthy dose of panic.
Thursday dawned with all the ceremony of a custard tart going splat on the ground. Went to lectures and finally got into the Lab, where the lab manager managed to shock herself with a few hundred volts, no burns or permanent harm done.
Friday was filled with mundane things like cleaning the house. after i dropped by Nick's and got a suprisingly easy run to Jesmond I spent the better part of the evening with the girls from Ralph st. Mel and I are now officially dating now, if you hadn't managed to put 2 and 2 together just yet.
Today was soccer semi final. we lost during the penalty shoot out. so that's the season over with, as of next week I'll be back on the bike.

Today was rather interesting, but to avoid spoilers and data contamination I will refrain from telling you all most of it.
I managed to get a decent ammount of sleep last night (possibly because I finally put my blackout curtains back up). I awoke rather refreshed, and ready for work, which I have in spades.
Having gotten the most pressing things done I proceeded to spend much of the afternoon doing less than I intended, though having much fun talking about everything from web comics to bus beheadings to child kidnapping at the Square.
Tomorrow will be muchos busy so I amy or may not see you all.

So this week has been somewhat akin to a cosine curve...
Monday was abit flat, Uni classes and not much else.
Tuesday was better, Got a sleep in, and some work done for once, MC'd at TBT.
Wednesday was as tedious as usual, 8am starts are not kind to a night owl insomniac.
Thursday was Fairly flat, More work was thrown onto the pile, though it's fairly simple it's quite time consuming. Oh, and my sunglasses snapped.
Friday was probably the peak of the week. Mel came over and met the family, which was rather entertaining. Then we introduced her to Monty Python, with great results. Didn't get back home till 4.30, but it was all good.
Today I played soccer and lost 5-2, but through-out the game I managed to get: a bleeding nose, hurt my ankle, get stud tracks up both legs, graze both knees and, jar my fingers.

Apparently I'm going to be broke for just a bit longer, still no work for me :(
Student mail seems to be down, I sent an email last night and it hasn't been delivered yet, which is rather worrying as it's quite important for a Lab report.
Today seemed rather relaxed for a wednesday, though the assignments are starting to pile up, methinks that this weekend will be rather full.

It has come to my attention that I have not updated this properly in a very, ...Very, long time (oh wait it's only 4 months). So here Goes. In the last week I have:
Thursday: Been to Gemma's thing on thursday, spent several hours fixing a network for ~40 mins of actual game time. When I went home I got talking to Mel on the net till ~ 3.30 am.
Friday: Went to the girls from Ralph street's house for dinner, and then to the latin dance thing at bar on the hill, then back to ralph street and spent till ~3am talking.
Saturday: Played Soccer and lost - 4-0 Went to Banks' 21st , did the nutbush, did Kareokee. went home and got talking to Mel again till ~ 3am.
Sunday: Church and things - family day (my family car is Sooo nice to drive compared to my own)
Monday: Uni from 12-1 nothing else really, got to bed early or I would probably have hit the wee hours again. Oh and I can no longer see top gear the same way again.
Today: Auslife @ cardiff high - saw teachers. Went to uni in the evening for my 1 thing.
Kind of bullet pointy but I had a bit to cover.

Latin Dancing + Soccer + nutbush = sore knees
and mixed indicators confuse the hell out of me. Why in the hell can't these damn things be straight forward.

I'm back after a week of no electronic communications. I'm not well, seemingly like everyone else. Uni time table to follow as soon as I work it out.

Like the book meme, only with movies. Bold the ones you've seen. Put an asterisk after the movie title (*) if you really liked it. Cross it out if you saw a film and really didn't like it. Underline the ones you own. Add one more to the list that you think should be on it.

Meme time:
The Big Read reckons that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books they've printed. 1. Look at the list and bold those you have read. 2. Italicize those you intend to read. 3. Underline the books you love. 3.5 Star the ones you started and didn't finish. 4. Reprint this list in your own LJ so we can try and track down these people who've read 6 and force books upon them.

My apologies for missing the picnic, but an old, close friend is in town and so I spent all weekend with her. as it's been more than 18mts since I've seen her, and I'll see you all in the near future the choice was clear.
a pity she's only around for 1 weekend, not even the fastest bacteria grows that fast (yes nick i know that this further support for your theory)
